Action in the KRU Championship continued on Saturday 14 January 2023 with a total of six matches in Eldoret, Kakamega, Kabarak, Kisumu and Nairobi.

Hosts University of Eldoret Trojans dealt visiting Daystar Falcons’ promotions hopes a blow with a 15-12 victory in Eldoret. The result saw Daystar drop from second to fourth while Trojans remained ninth on the table.

The other fixture in Eldoret saw Nondescripts stay unbeaten and top of the table with a 36-0 whitewash of their hosts, Eldoret. The home team remain second from bottom.

South Coast Pirates made the 894km trip from Diani to Kakamega and emerged victorious, defeating home team Western Bulls 20-17 at the Bull Ring, an important win for the Pirates as they eye a promotion playoff slot at the close of the league phase.

Hosts Kabarak University stunned Impala Saracens 16-12 at Kabarak, a result sees the varsity lads move one place up to third while Impala stayed eighth on the table.

Kisumu defeated bottom of the table USIU Martials 19-3 in Kisumu to climb to second on the log as Shamas Foundation were 22-19 victors over Zetech Oaks.
